A Little Bit About Our Staff

EFS Medical really focus and believe that our staff are the backbone of our company. With a robust recruitment policy we ensure that all of our new staff undergo rigorous background and safety checks prior to starting work with us.

All staff receive extensive training in medical and customer service skills and receive area specific inductions prior to each assignment. For example motor sports and aviation awareness and minor injuries training. This combined with regular update training and clinical mentor-ship ensure the highest clinical standards for our patients and customers.

Paramedics

Paramedics (pre-hospital healthcare practitioners) are registered with the Health & Care Professions Council in the UK. As a legally protected title it is illegal for anyone to use this title without being registered.

Paramedics work in the pre-hospital environment and provide specialist care and treatment to patients who are either acutely ill or injured. They can administer a range of drugs and carry out certain surgical techniques.

It's easy to find out if someone is registered or not. We do not use trainee paramedics as paramedics, all of our staff are fully trained
and current in role.

Nurses

Nurses are health care professionals registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK. Although traditionally working in hospitals, EFS Medical utilise their vast skills and knowledge outside
of that setting.

All of our nurses are experienced staff with specialist backgrounds including the Emergency Department, Intensive Care and Primary Care.

Nurse is a legally protected title and as such it is illegal for anyone to use the title without being registered.

First Responders

Why do we have first responders and not first-aiders? In order to work effectively and safely to provide medical services at events it's our belief that a first aid certificate isn't quite enough.

All of our first responders hold a first aid at work certificate but this is bolstered by a wide range of medical training which includes oxygen therapy, automatic defibrillation, wound management and most undergo a FPOS and trauma trained Course as well and simple medicines management.

Emergency Medical Technicians
Emergency Medical Technicians are part of the pre-hospital care team. There is currently no national register of EMT's but all EFS Medical EMT's are qualified to NHS equivalent standards.

EMT's carry out a range of life saving techniques and have a limited drug list and we describe our staff as to the level of training and experience, EMT 1, EMT 2, EMT 3.

With regular training and mentorship from Paramedics, EMT's and Nurses, our staff gain an excellent knowledge base which in turn makes your event run more smoothly, and safely.
